For the Pre-Gen white and black macbooks, use Novus plastic polish to take out scuffs and dull spots. It's sold online and in some hobby shops, and can be used to polish any plastic to a perfect finish. I have used it for this purpose and for a scratch on the outside of an acrylic fish tank, as well as a number of other applications.

I love my new 17" and am a true CDO when it comes to dirt and grime. I use a little bottle of 91% isopropyl alcohol on my baby to keep the oils and dirt away. I spray a healthy amount on one of those microfiber towels one finds at a traveling "Home and Garden" show and wipe 'er down gently. This does not work on the finger dirt which seems to get ground into the edgers on the outside of the unibody as I will now give the Arm & Hammer mild abrasive trick a try!

Thanks!
