Latest New Thing From Apple: iPod VoiceOver

Apple has one-upped itself. Its latest invention is the new iPod shuffle that talks to you. VoiceOver is the “remarkable new feature that gives iPod shuffle a voice”. With 4GB of storage it will hold up to 1,000 songs and lets you enjoy multiple playlists, also a new feature.

The VoiceOver is a great option for facilitating the purpose of the iPod shuffle, being able to easily clip and have an iPod with you while running, walking or going through your busy day. The new control buttons located on the earbud allow you to easily navigate through the playlists and songs without looking down at an iPod or losing your running rhythm.

I personally have a hard time at the gym when I go to change a playlist on my iPod plugged into the treadmill and, because I’m not that coordinated, practically trip over myself just to change it to the next album. The VoiceOver feature could be just what I need for my auditory processing and clumsiness.

The new iPod shuffle is a little more expensive, for now, coming in at $79.

Have you picked up the new iPod shuffle? What do you think of its VoiceOver feature? Let us know and leave a comment in our comments section.
